The bride would like you to change the music." Hello. Does the bride have a name? They usually show up at the reception site six hours early armed with boxes of tulle, centerpieces, crepe paper and those flimsy wedding bells. They also think it is their job to control everyone else. They will intrude on those who make it their careers to run weddings smoothly. Warning, sometimes they travel in packs.
It is our experience that one person should be chosen to take on the duties of coordinating. Ideally this will be a person with the ability to rationalize. It should be established early on that he or she is the one in charge. Rather than running around in a frenzy, the designated leader should work with, not against, the minister, florist, musician, caterer, coordinator, etc. The idea is to help those getting married to be more relaxed, not more nervous.
